About
Hi, I'm Shanon, founder of Pacific Willow Consulting.
I've worked in animal welfare for 15 years, and I still do. I started Pacific Willow Consulting because I kept seeing the same problem: strong programs, thin budgets, and grant writing pushed to the bottom of an already-full plate. I wanted to be the person who takes that piece off someone's hands.
Depending on your mission and goals, I may work with you directly — or you may be paired with a member of our team of grant professionals, each bringing their own specialties in federal compliance, budget development, and sector-specific research. Either way, you're getting focused, experienced support built around what your organization actually needs.

What Sets Us Apart
We bring real nonprofit leadership experience to every partnership — not just consulting theory. You'll get people who listen first, tell you the truth even when it's not what you want to hear, and adapt to how your team actually works.
Our heart is in communities with deep ties to land and cultural heritage, animal welfare, and land and wildlife conservation. We also bring experience across housing, social services, food security, and arts and culture — but it's the work rooted in land, animals, and community that drives why we do this.
The Pacific Willow Perspective
Grant writing is hard work, especially when resources are already stretched thin. I believe in honest guidance, clear process, and relationships built on trust. My focus is strategy, transparency, and results that move the needle—so you can keep your energy where it matters most: your mission and your community.
